Though some policies of our PM, Narendra Damodar Das Modi are flawed, he actually did an unexceptional job as our nation’s Prime Minister during the Pandemic, when many foreign national governments who occasionally boasted about their health care systems, failed their citizens.
From initiating preventive measures at right time to expediting national solidarity against the coronavirus fight, PM Modi should be applauded as a strong and powerful leader who managed to save so many lives which the Covid-19 virus could have claimed, given the history of bad health care infrastructural and human resource development of India.
India has shown the world that in national and international health care emergencies, how big it is the role of the government leadership to tackle it. The U.S in spite of having relatively better-developed health care institutions failed to control the death toll due to the feeble government response to the virus. Whereas India has relatively controlled the death number by using effective leadership to make the fight against coronavirus spread a public driven success and it also initiated talks with other Asian countries for collective efforts to develop a unanimous mechanism to stop the spread in the geopolitical region while having a sense of transnational solidarity against the outbreak.
