President Gives Away Film Awards, Waheeda Rehman Gets Dadasaheb Phalke Award
President Droupadi Murmu gave away the National Film Awards for the year 2021 on Tuesday, October 18, 2023, at the 69th edition of the ceremony. The prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award was conferred on veteran Bollywood actor Waheeda Rehman.
President Murmu congratulated Rehman on her award and said that she had established herself at the pinnacle of the film industry with her art and personality.
She also praised Rehman for her work as a woman of dignity, self-confidence, and originality.
