Whether you are single or mingle or in between, the coronavirus has affected everybody and all spheres of life including the romantic.
For single people, this time has bought out a sense of loneliness and longing for companionship. Cooped in our homes away from everyone, and no social or physical contact with anyone has taken a toll on everyone. This form of alienation isn’t perhaps what Marx anticipated, but has taken over the world and the increase in the number of people on dating websites and apps is a clear proof.
Whether the reason is not being able to talk to your friends and colleagues regularly to have the much needed emotional support or this sudden huge amount of free time we all have at our hands, who is to say, but the fact remains people are looking for various forms of a romantic relationship. This leads us to the next important question, how has dating been affected in a time like this? Well again there is no clear answer and whatever we have is in layers.
