Coronavirus might be the last nail in the coffin of US Hegemony
US hegemonic status has been crumbling from a very long time ago and the current Coronavirus Crisis has just accelerated that process. Coronavirus Pandemic has exposed the reality of the US to the World, it is no more capable of being a global leader during the global crisis and it is in fact highly dependent on other nations for its survival during the present situation.
But that does not mean that China can seize the new power vacuum as not only the status of the US but that of China will also be affected by Post Coronavirus Crisis. While China and US rivalry after the Pandemic will escalate, both the US and China will lose their positions as so-called competing ‘Global Economic Superpowers’.
After the outbreak of the Wuhan Crisis, the World has learned its lessons of letting treacherous China become the manufacturing hub of the World. And now the world is rightly directing towards making economic distancing from China.
