Coronavirus might be the last nail in the coffin of US Hegemony
India has been taking the right measures to control the coronavirus spread by putting up a nationwide lockdown even at the stake of its economy. Something that Trump would never do, given his obsession with America’s Economy, he would never want to have a nationwide lockdown in the US, irrespective of him having this power or not as US President. International Media is convinced that Trump would keep America’s economy going at the stake of his own citizen’s life.
He would rather expand the health care system than to take the right preventive measures. If America is not ready to take Preventive measures for the only sake of its economy, why shall India contribute in keeping America’s economy going by providing its medical supplies to the US when it has put a lockdown on its own economy to contain the Virus. Although India has accepted the White House’s request to provide the supply of Hydroxychloroquine to the US on humanitarian grounds during this Pandemic.
There is some sense of discontent from US leadership emerging from India and the rest of the World because of Trump’s administration policies. From initiating the Peace Treaty With Afghanistan to putting on arbitrary economic sanctions on its enemy countries like Iran and Russia and coercing other countries to follow it by threatening them of consequences, Trump has devalued the sovereignty of other countries.
