KGMU Organizes Free Orthodontic Awareness and Dental Checkup Camp on World Orthodontic Day
Lucknow, May 15, 2025:
On the occasion of World Orthodontic Day, the Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics, Faculty of Dental Sciences, King George’s Medical University (KGMU), organized a free dental awareness and checkup camp at Sahara Mall, Hazratganj, Lucknow.
The event took place from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and witnessed a positive response from the public.
The camp was organized with the support and cooperation of the Sahara Mall management, who provided the necessary arrangements and space for the KGMU team at their premises.
The initiative was conducted under the guidance of the Professor and Head of the Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics. Faculty members Dr. Alka Singh and Dr. Dipti Shastri, along with Senior Residents Dr. Mahak Dobhal, Dr. Snigdha, Dr. Maheshwar, Dr. Balaje, Dr. Nancy, and Dr. Himanshu Chandana, actively participated in the event.
Junior Residents also contributed by attending to the patients, providing consultations, and referring cases requiring further treatment to KGMU’s dental department.
Around 150 individuals benefited from the free checkup and awareness camp, where they received expert guidance on oral health and orthodontic care.
The camp successfully raised awareness about the importance of orthodontic treatment and early dental care, reaffirming KGMU’s commitment to community health outreach.
