Those like Albert Einstein and Thomas Edison who rejected the conventional form of learning were not treated well by the education system of their respective countries. Albert Einstein was considered as a dumb and lazy student by his teachers, Edison was forced to drop out of school because his teachers thought him stupid, and there are so many others who had gone through same.

Even the Sonam Wangchuk who had supposedly inspired the character of Phunshuk Wangdu of 3 idiots had been considered stupid during his school days which according to him was the darkest period of his life. 3 idiots fail to point out how students are made to cram and rote learning by the conventional education system and those who reject to follow the system are punished by the system, it instead shows how after rejecting the conventional form of learning at college, Amir Khan Tops the examination.
