Government fast-tracked strategies planning to woo Foreign Investments – Here’s what acceptable and what’s not

A state like Uttar Pradesh where unemployment has been a serious issue has started to play its card now and an online system for land allotment to attract investors is being developed.

On 8th May, an ordinance was approved by the U.P government to amend existing labour laws, incentivising the businesses. Not only U.P but several other states are also preparing these kinds of incentives to bring foreign investment to their respective states.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan has also made changes to labour laws in his state. This involves allowing women to work in the IT Sector at night shifts, reducing the process of obtaining the labour related registration to less than 24 hours, extending the license term for companies, and also easing the process of renewal of Licenses.
