- Nobel Prize in Chemistry: Moungi G. Bawendi, Louis E. Brus, and Alexei I. Ekimov for the discovery and synthesis of quantum dots.
- Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine: Katalin Karikó and Drew Weissman for their research that led directly to the first mRNA vaccines to fight COVID-19.
- Nobel Prize in Literature: Jon Fosse for his poetic, profound and moving writing that sheds light on the human condition.
- Nobel Prize for Peace: Narges Mohammadi for her fight against the oppression of women in Iran and her fight to promote human rights and freedom for all.
- Nobel Prize for Economics: Claudia Goldin for research on Workplace Gender Gap.
About the Nobel Prize
