Maharashtra CM Shinde takes a dig at opposition parties

On the eve of the monsoon session of the Maharashtra legislature, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde took a dig at the opposition parties, saying that they appear to have lost hope and are confused.

Shinde said that the opposition parties are hardly seen anywhere and one has to look for them. He also said that the opposition parties have written a voluminous book to the government instead of writing a letter.

Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar were also present at the press conference.

The opposition parties have boycotted the customary tea party hosted by the government. They have also listed out several issues in a letter to the government.

Fadnavis taunted the opposition parties, saying that they have written a voluminous book to the government.

The monsoon session of the state legislature will begin on Monday.
