Ensure that the internship you find is relevant to your field. Your resume should have all internship experiences on it that relate to your degree program. This will give you an edge over all other college graduates with no internship experience. Enhance your CV!
4) KNOW ABOUT YOURSELF:
It tells whether the job is meant for you or not. For instance, you complete an internship in an advertising agency and you discover that you hate it. Before giving up on advertising, you find an internship in event management and find it suitable for you. Isn’t it better to figure out all this before you graduate and are stuck in a field that is not for you! You come to know about your niche. Is that the field you could see yourself doing as a full-time job?
5) HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN AND WATCH:
You can learn from some experienced people during an internship. They will be watching over you and working closely with you on projects so that you have someone to look up to and a goal to work towards. Perhaps you will learn new skills from these people and new things about the industry and life that you didn’t know before. You will learn from your mistakes.
