For people who were in their dating phase or were looking for their ‘the one’. This quarantine might have thrown you off your game. Dating is hard as it is with all the troubles like ghosting and Gaslighting, now added to the list of dating issues we have a quarantine. The solution to it all has been there all along ‘online dating’, which was once looked down upon in the world of gooey-eyed romantics and stories of the meet-cute, OkCupid is now the actual cupid. 

No wonder dating apps have seen a surge in their user base. Bumble has reported a 35 percent increase in their average number of messages sent since the outbreak began, in addition to that, there has been a surge in voice and video calls using the app. Tinder has also noticed a similar spike in user activity – with conversation lengths up to 30 percent longer than they were last month. 

For others who are not looking for anything serious, and just someone to talk to, the term quarantine bae has come up. With a huge number of victims worldwide, more than 100k deaths and no confirmed medicine or vaccine on the horizon, it’s time we adjust to the love in the time of Corona and makes the best out of it.
