But Twitter did not find mentions of ‘violating the body’ (which means mutilation) comment to be considered as being abusive and the hypocrisy is that they say that their aim is to make a safe environment for everyone to express themselves! I reckon everyone does not include ‘females’ for twitter.

I also made some friends report the comments thinking that maybe it will work, but twitter did nothing, and the account was not blocked and is still present on twitter, still hurling abuses at other people especially females and making inappropriate comments on them for merely voicing their political opinions.

So, I had no option but to delete comments manually and block the Id. Social Media is filled with everyday misogyny and sexism which is attacking online presence and online spaces of females, and the reason behind this misogyny and sexism on social media is the behaviour of social media platforms to insensitive comments.

Responsible Authorities should take cognizance of these matters and take appropriate measures with alacrity to stop these kinds of online harassments based on the gender of a person and denying them equality on the internet.­ And those who do not find this creepy behaviour on online platforms wrong just because ‘ Boys will be Boys’ reasoning need to seek immediate mental asylum, to understand that this behaviour should neither be normalised nor be acceptable by anybody in society. Online harassment needs to stop.
